Course Descriptions

Undergraduate - BUSN369SA Introduction to International Business (4 credits) This course introduces key concepts defining today's competitive global environment; various cultural, political, economic, and legal systems and their impact on international business. In addition, students will examine a variety of current international business issues and trends, international monetary systems, international trade policies and institutions, and regional economic integration. Prerequisite: BUSN115

Graduate - INTL500SA Global Perspectives for International Business (3 credits) This overview course presents international strategy, operations, supply chain management, marketing, and finance concepts required for global commerce. Using regional case studies and best-practice examples from familiar multinational corporations, students will gain the management perspective required to understand the unique role of culture, politics, and economics in the execution of multinational business strategy. No prerequisite

 All cultural excursions, company and institution visits, day trips, entrance fees and overnight excursions as described in the itinerary

 Ten nights' lodging in London and Paris; rooms are double occupancy and have private baths

 Afternoon guided walking tour of London past Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Tower of London and more

 Free day to explore London on your own

 Afternoon guest lecture at the London institution of higher education

 Morning visit to the International Chamber of Commerce and Court of Arbitration, the world's leading institution for resolving international commercial and business disputes
 Afternoon visit to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the agency of the UN that promotes international collaboration and human rights

 Morning visit to CNAV (National Old-Age Insurance Fund) for a presentation on "Present Issues of the French Retirement Plans"
